PPL Electric will purchase Alternative Energy Credits (AECs) to meet the obligations under the AEPS Act associated with PPL Electric’s provision of default service. Under the AEC RFP, PPL Electric is soliciting Photovoltaic, PA Tier 1, and PA Tier 2 AECs. Bidder Qualifications for the Alternative Energy Credits RFP are submitted online and are due by noon on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. No late submissions will be accepted under any circumstances.

AEC Vintage Requirements: at least 25% of the AECs per tranche for each product type shall be from the June 1, 2020 – May 31, 2022 vintage; no more than 75% of the AECs per tranche for each product type shall be from the June 1, 2022 – May 31, 2023 vintage.
